Used sculpture glaze to coat it (two coats) and it came out really nice. Filed down the rough edges to keep it from getting caught on clothing, but there is a portion at the back of the beak I still need to work with. The glaze strengthened it a bit as well, so it's not as flexible or weak as it was after cleaning.
