I love TAPS, what they do is brilliant. For those that do believe that this team is made up of frauds, please consider the following:
Great, watch the show (Ghost Hunters), but before you form any thoughts on team based on the SHOW, get to know the people first and what they actually do. :/ You're criticizing a bunch of people you're not familiar with, and to those that DO know them, it is a bit hurtful. I will say I do not know TAPS DIRECTLY, but I have talked to people that have been in contact with the team (for various reasons) and they are incredibly supportive of what they do (I can't name names, I'm sorry, hopefully that's understandable). Not the show, I don't think in any conversation with these people they mentioned the show at all. It's the team we're talking about here, not the SciFi presentation. Yes, the show is for entertainment, yes they may be forced to do things on the show under contract they would otherwise not do in real life. Just, really, I find it narrow-minded to disgrace a group based on their contract with a television channel we all know to be a bit loopy. :/ TAPS are not frauds, perhaps they ARE forced to do things on camera that disregards that statement, but what this team does off camera is not to be judged by what they are required to do ON camera. But, I think TAPS welcomes the criticism. I've heard them many times on their radio show talk about what people say about them, and they do tend to laugh quite a bit about it--the minor things. When it comes to people saying they fake stuff I imagine there are some things that can be quite lol-able in the way people accuse them, but there have been a few instances when I've heard them get a little upset about it. Of course, it IS to be expected--criticism I mean, and I do criticize them too (is there anyone that you don't criticize?)--but really, when you consider how much Jason and Grant REALLY love what they do, I don't think it's a bad thing that it upsets them. They've worked hard for what they've found, not always the evidence that's related to the show, and to have someone shoot you down about it is really frustrating. TAPS was formed somewhere between the years of 1990 and 1991 by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson after they both experienced strange, unsettling experiences that led them to question the realm of existence we call the "spirit world". Since the team's foundation, they have discovered many intriguing things that cannot be explained, which leads to criticism and insult (not just by viewers, but rivaling teams). You can form your own opinion on the situation, but do NOT base that opinion on the SHOW. Base it on the TEAM. Here are some interesting finds over the years: [link] - PT I [link] - PT II [link] - PT III |

We Crave Your Hearts And Your Demise--

(Black Lantern Oath)
that is just one of many reasons that i'm convinced they don't fake the stuff.
