ACCEPTABLE PREFIXES AND SUFFIXES

Putting an end to this, we'll leave off with a long list of acceptable prefixes and suffixes. Not necessarily the only ones available for use, but it is a handy, helpful list for when you're in a bind. (Please, if you don't know what certain things are, look them up, www.wikipedia.org is incredibly helpful in doing so.)

This list was a collaboration between my friends Sun, Kurali, Raven, and myself, and I  do NOT expect this to be posted anywhere else without permission.

Okay, so the host I was using flipped out when I tried to renew Ebonycrow.net. It said, "This domain is beyond the expiration date and cannot be renewed with this process.", so I asked Tech Support and they said I just had to purchase it again. Sooo that didn't work, because it's still registered under my account. Apparently it's stuck and I can't do anything with it. 8D

SO THE DOMAIN NAME HAS CHANGED Ever so slightly.



If you are linked to "ebonycrow.net/guide.htm" it would be a good idea to add the hyphen. x)

SPREAD THE WORD! We're back up and with a different domain. I hated to change it, but I couldn't find any other way around it. Nothing was working the way staff said it was supposed to, and it was just easier to add the hyphen than to go through Hell. .3.

I'd appreciate it if other readers would spread the word about the domain change, if you know anyone else that reads it. It'll just help let others know that it's both back up, and with a new domain.

Hopefully no one gets lost or confused.

I put it under "essays" because this was more like an essay to me than it was anything else. (I love essays anyway, so why not. x) )

Please note me or post if you have suggestions for things that need to be added, or comments about something that's already there.

I do not expect to see this posted ANYWHERE else, especially without my permission!

Wow, that was great. A bit long (perhaps a summary would be helpful for the lazier crowd who aren't interested in really improving their naming abilities -- you know those types).

Argh, makes me want to pick up playing Warriors again. D:

are you sure it's alright to use prefixes such as wind, thunder, or shadow considering they are the names of the clans themselves? it would seem like the cat is being singled out to be revered as more important than the rest of his clanmates because he/she carries the name of the clan in their name

I thought I updated the guide saying that they were okay for Clans that weren't the originals, like in fanfiction or in RP, but for a cat being put in the original four Clans, wind/thunder/shadow/river wouldn't be acceptable. It'd be weird to have Windstar of WindClan again.

(BTW it's Cinder COME BACK FROM THE DEAD on dA 'cause I just like, failed at staying active over here but not on AFD. ...c:)

I've just read this and I have to say you are my second hero (Firestar is my first XD) for typing this up. I have to say I'm so tired of finding all these weird named cats in RPs. It just makes me think, "They really don't care about the Warriors series at all."

I'd like to enforce this as a rule on my RP site Clans Of Courage. May I use it with all the credit to you (and your friends who helped)?

Thanks. 8) I agree though, that's my first thought when I see named like Darkheart or Auratail, or something. I just immediately think that 1) they don't care or 2) they don't understand what it 's about.
